Why This Resource Exists
Release information is split among agencies. A person leaving Hill-Finklea may have a county release record, while a former state prisoner is found through the South Carolina Department of Corrections released-inmate search. Court dispositions, SC VINE notices, parole or probation records, ICE information, and military records answer different questions. This site brings those routes into one plain-language reference.
What the Site Cannot Do
This is an independently operated website. It is not affiliated with Berkeley County, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, Hill-Finklea Detention Center, SCDC, SCDPPPS, the Navy, or any other public agency. We cannot release a person, confirm live custody, post bond, change a record, give legal advice, or obtain a government document for a visitor.
Official Sources Come First
Links point readers toward the office or locator responsible for each type of information. A roster entry, release sheet, court docket, supervision result, and notification alert do not mean the same thing. The originating agency remains the authority for its own record.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some search tools are supplied by outside partners. If a visitor follows or uses a partner tool, Berkeley County Released Inmates may receive a referral fee. That relationship supports the site but does not turn a partner result into an official Berkeley County, South Carolina, or federal record.
